No, those bubbles are not good and will lead to problems with the fish's eyes (i believe).

Try to get more gas exchange where there is no covering.

What kind of lighting do you have. If you want an upgrade for an FOWLR, I would skip the skimmer, for now and get a lighting set up that sits above the tank. This will give you my gas exchange, and more stable pH....Maybe something like this:

i just ordered a light 2 175MH with 220 watts CF it also has moonlights...should be here in a few days. cant wait

am i going to see a spike soon or can i add a cleanup crew.

just got my mag float and auto feeder today.

i have one powerhead pointed at the surface and one at the rocks down low and the filter inflow is pointed at the rocks also.

Beautiful tank! IMO, I would wait for the cycle to complete, sounds like it's gettin close.
