Skimmer

Ok I just set up my second tank it's a 40 gallon cube... I bought a protein skimmer going against what I know I got a 40g prizm slim design... I believe this skimmer is crap but not sure because I can't get it to function properly... I have water flowing out but I don't see any air bubbles? Mr x any advice

You answered your own question.
There should be air tho. Can you blow into the airline and then see bubbles?

I took it back so no worries just gotta move my tank I just filled up so my skimmer fits... : /
