Yesterday my tank was crystal clear. This morning it has a slight fog to it. I don't think I've been over feeding cuz my scissortaildartfish and zebra barred dartfish both eat a lot! Just tested my params and this is what I have

Ammo: about half way in between 0 and .25ppm
Nitrites: 0 ppm
Nitrates: 0 ppm
Ph: 8.0 (I'm gonna fix that after lunch)b
SG: 1.023

Also I have quite a lot of diatoms still left over from my cycle. Little algae growth. What could've caused the fog??

bacterial bloom, did you recently add any new saltwater??
not saltwater but treated tap water just to top the tank off. I added the recommended amount of the API conditioner to it before I added it. It just decreased the SG from 1.024 to 1.023. It was just about 2 gallons. But it's not the first time I've done that. But it's the first time it's fogged a little afterwards.

run carbon at all?
no, I replaced it with purigen and something akin the lines on nitrinex or something like that! I can get the exact name for you later but I left town about 7-8 hours ago so I'm not currently home.
