I am in the planning stage for a 55g FOWLR. What kind of snail can I have that wont overly populate. I dont want hundreds of them.

For the most part, snails won't successfully reproduce in the home aquarium. They will lay eggs, and sometimes lay eggs all day long it feels like, but nothing ever comes from them. Free food for your fish.

I wouldnt say nothing ever comes from them, ive had baby snails in my tank that lived. I agree that they rarely make it though.
