Starting this thread as a log of progress. I bought this tank " complete " for $100 on CL. It's a 55g with t5 2x54w and supplemental 72x1w led. 2 koralia 1050 PH CPR overflow to a 10g wet/dry sump. Penguin bio wheel filter( for surface agitation ) current stock 2x three stripe damsels 2x yellow tail damsels 2x perc clowns 1 one spot fox face. And a few hermits and emeralds plus a handful of misc snails

Cool. I like the stock list . Most avoid damsels but your fish can probably hold their own

Thanks they get along well. The three stripes are a little agro so they will be taking a trip to my buddy's tank

go 100% dark for about an hour, then use a small flshlight to find them, avoid shining light on the damsels, toss a few pellets in, as soon as the damsels come up to the surface, turn alll your lighting on, it should daze them for a split second. sounds cruel but its not different then when we wake up and someone flips a bright light on
