Can I get away with adding just a porcupine puffer and picasso trigger to my 75 gallon tank? What would be a good predatory fish mix for a 75 gallon tank?

First off welcome too AA:D.
Which porcupine puffer D. Holocanthus or Hystrix(spelling?)?Here's a good list that might help ya:
grouper
tang?
trigger
smallish puffer(dog face?)
Just some basic ideas there
HTH:)

you possibly could get away with those two only. The puffer needs a 90 gallon and the trigger a 75 gallon tank. What kind of filtration do youhave or are planning on? These are messy eaters and you`ll need good biological and mechanical filtration.

I have over 100 pounds of live and 60 pounds of live sand

I also have a marineland c360 canister filter with some biological filtration. Do not have the money now but will eventually get a protein skimmer.

i'm sorry a hundred pounds of live rock

one hundred pounds of live rock

You may get away with it, but over the years one might have to be removed from the system due to size and aggression (puffer), unless of course you purchase the smaller Canthigaster spp.
