I purchased a 100 gallon tank from a fellow here which he had for approximately 10 yrs. It has a wonderful combination of fish, corals, live rock, and invertebrates. His son is a marine biologist and made the acrylic tank and filter system back in the U.S and brought it over here. I currently have a Soho Tang approx. 6 yrs old, a moon wrasses 6 yrs, 4 clown fish, 2 blue damselfish, 2 royal damselfish, 3 blennies, 1 black ribbon eel, 1 dragon wrasse, 2 cleaner shrimp, 2 fire shrimp, 2 marble shrimp, 2 dancing shrimp, 2 brittlestars, 1 green star, 1 sea apple an anemone and some snails. I am very new to the hobby but have enjoyed every minute so far. I have to work away from home for 2 weeks at a time so my wife is learning the hobby as wel.. I do fresh water changes out of the Persian gulf, usually 12 gals. when I get home on my week off and 12 gals just before I go back to work at the end of my week off.
I have a Moon Wrasse approximately 5 yrs in my tank. I've only personally had him for 5 months as I bought the tank with him in it. My concern is lately he seems to rest quite often through the day on bottom. Is this normal for a Wrasse or should I be concerned? Any insight would be appreciated.
I know when I had my Lunare wrasse (Moon wrasse) it was not really a fish that stayed out front swimming all the time. It would kind of come out every once in a while esp. during feeding time. I had to sell him back to the LFS as he became to aggressive for my tank.
