Hmmm...I put my six line wrasse in as my first fish. And then followed with two clowns and a firefish with no problems. The wrasse did "flex" towards the other fish but only for a day or so.

They are just known to be aggressive, and there are always fish that don't "follow the rules". I think your 6line is abnormal, but everybody has a fish that does atypical things. For example, I have a TINY cleaner shrimp and my adult longnose hawkfish let's it clean him without snapping at him.
