What is this red stuff?

It came in on some rock I got at my lfs. Not sure what it is and google is no help lol. Just want to know if it's worth keeping or something I should get rid of. It does spread but as long as I groom it it doesn't get out if hand. Thanks!

There are 2 types of algae in that picture, though I can't think of the names off the top of my head. Either way, algae can be a good thing as an export of nitrates. Since you are taking care of it and it isn't hurting anything, I would call it a win.

Thanks! It pops up in other areas and on my power heads but it hasn't grown out of hand. My hermits love crawling around in it. I'm cut ally just restarting my 75g tank since having issues with fish dying. Hopefully it will be back to its former beauty soon!

I'd put the stuff in a sump/refugium setup and let it grow and grow. Less nitrates is always a good idea.
