What temp and salinity should I use for a FOWLR

That is specific gravity. Salinity is measured in ppt. Anyways, ask your LFS what salinity and temperature they use.

The optimal values really depend on what type of tank you have. FO can tolerate lower spg and lower temps. Reef tanks like spg 1.025 and temp 80-82, thats where I keep mine.

I run my fowlr at 78 and 1.019. A lot of LFS run there salinity at .019 or lower in my area. Helps keep parasites in check.

If you have inverts, it is better to keep it between .023-.025. I keep mine at .024 and my temp at 80 degrees.

Complete myth. 1.019 doesn't do anything of the kind

Thanks for all the replies. I have my sg at 1.023 and temp at 78. I will see how that goes.
