you can also make rock yourself. it's about a month long process, but the price is right.

Try eBay for Texas reef (holy) rock or ReefCleaners.org for some Florida base rock or search for Caribsea South Seas Base Rock as well as the previous mentions.

LiveAquaria.com has 25lb or rubble rock for $80, and these guys have it for almost half. What's the difference, and is it fine to put in my sump? My tank is in the cycling process and I am going to get more LR for my main tank after Christmas. If this is legit I'm getting some ASAP!

Rubble rock is made of the broken pieces of the LR that occurs during shipping. It is the same as LR, just in very small pieces suitable to be used in a sump or other small space.

Dry rock is just that. It was once LR (though that may have been many, many years ago) that has been out of water for quite some time.

Marco rocks have always had the reputation of coming loaded with dead tissue in/on the rocks (trapped organics) so the rock had to be cured before going into an existing tank. I see they are now pre-curing the rock before shipping.
