White worm

I have today noticed about 50 of these very small hair like white wormy looking things. Does anyone know what they are and if I should be worried at all?

You are going to see new things for a long time. As for the hitch hiker, I have no idea. I am sure however, that you should not worry.
Do they move?

And what else can you tell about the behavior? Do they stay close to the sand bed? Stay on the rock? Where do you find them mostly?

As far as I can tell they are mostly on the rock with a few on the back of the glass, they don't seem to bother the fish and the fish don't bother with them.
