window cleaner to clean the sump and it got into the water

Our 4 year old daughter was trying to help is clean the house for a birthday party by cleaning the windows. The next morning (today) all our fish are dead. We couldn't figure out what happened!! We found out our daughter had used window cleaner to clean the sump and it got into the water. She was just trying to help but it is so sad! Surprisingly our bubble tip anemone and serpent starfish are still alive...for now. Will it kill the live rock too?

I'd get some carbon on your tank to try to clean out as much as possible.

Also, adding a water conditioner like Prime or Amquell might help. It may bind the ammonia and make it non-toxic, while you do water changes to remove it.

It's a bit difficult to baby proof a tank. We have a 1 year old and have a lock on the doors. It keeps him out but not our 4 year old
