Bought a piece of live rock and it had red tube worms on it mayb 5 visible ones. Are they harmful to the tank in any way?

Anyone have any idea? I believe they are a type of worm that stays attached to the rock and do no harm but I'm to completely sure.

Harmless. They are filter feeders and will help out.

Make sure they are tube worms. Take a look at these. Aquarium Fish: Tropical Freshwater Fish and Saltwater Fish for Home Aquariums

What's red? The tube or the feather duster/fan part?

Is the tube white or brown? Or just babies and you can't see a tube?
