This topic is on wrasses. Specifically wrasses that change from female to male.

I was reading up on flasher wrasses and saw that there are a possible 3 stages of the wrasses. There are the ones that are females, that can change into regular males. Then there are ones that are called terminal or super males.

My question here is, will a regular male with no females present turn back into a female?
Or once they turn male they can't go back?
Also will a regular male turn into a terminal male in the presence of females?
Will a terminal male turn back into a male in the absence of females and then back into a female?

Finally if you have a regular male and one of another species or a fairy wrasse will that keep them as males?

Basically if I buy a regular male flasher or fairy wrasse I want it to stay a male perhaps not in the presence of females but in the presences of other similar wrasses.
