Aqua C on sale for AA members only

Captive Raised Corals will have Aqua C Remora and Urchin Skimmers on sale from October 15 through November 15 for Aquarium Advice members only. These prices won't be on the website as they are for members only so you'll have to PM me (loganj) if you want one. I only sell them with Maxi Jet or Mag Drive pumps as I don't think the Rio pumps are reliable enough. Anyway, here's the prices:
EDIT: Offer is good through November 15...don't know why I put September...bad day I guess .

Aqua C Remora/Urchin with Maxi Jet 1200 $149.95
Remora with surface skimmer and MJ 1200 $179.95

Aqua C Remora/Urchin Pro with Mag 3 $195.95
Remora Pro with surface skimmer and Mag 3 $235.95

Shipping is $8.95 anywhere in the US (Except Alaska and Hawaii)
Thanks!

I corrected the dates on the sale. I had originally put Oct-Sep...must have had a few brain cells misfiring that day. Correct dates are Oct 15-Nov 15. Thanks.

Logan what size tank would these be good for? I have a 45 [acronym:a4c396a8c2="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:a4c396a8c2] tall that needs a boost in its skimming abilities.

I would want one with a surface skimmer i think.

Aqua C claims that the Remora is good for up to a 75 and the Pro is for 75 and up. My personal feeling is that the Remora would handle up to a 55 and the Pro would be OK for up to maybe a 100-125 [acronym:7fdd3fe586="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:7fdd3fe586]. I do have a 75 [acronym:7fdd3fe586="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:7fdd3fe586] customers tank with a Remora and it's doing a great job. The tank is a [acronym:7fdd3fe586="Fish only with live rock"]FOWLR[/acronym:7fdd3fe586] and has a fairly low bioload...yellow tang, maroon clown, and a few crabs and snails. [acronym:7fdd3fe586="Just My Humble Opinion"]JMHO[/acronym:7fdd3fe586].

Remora with surface skimmer and MJ 1200 $179.95

Can you give me the dimentions of the skimmer so I can measure and see if I have to move the tank away from the wall more than it is now. Also what are the dimentions of the skimmer box.

OK, the surface skimmer box for the Remora with the MJ1200 is 8.5" high x 7.25" wide x 2.5" front to back. The skimmer itself is 17.5" high x 6" wide x 2.75" front to back. It requires 8.5" of vertical clearance at the back of the tank to be able to easily remove the collection cup.

Wanted to comment back now that I have had the skimmer for approx 1 week. This skimmer is great [acronym:719c2da23f="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:719c2da23f]. In the last week its pulled more out of the water than my previous skimmer did over a period of 4 months.

I attribute alot of this to the surface skimmer box that I got with it. Its quite and fits nicly behind the tank.

Thanks Logan.

2 more days left on the sale prices. If anyone is interested, PM me before the 16th and I'll honor the sale prices even if it takes a couple more days to complete the transaction. I'm out of stock on the skimmers right now, but I expect a shipment to come in no later than the middle of next week. Thanks!
