Hey everyone! Glad yo join a great forumn. My name is bobby and I live in virginia beach. Ive been keeping fish for a little over 10 years now. I started with piranhas but have been keeping african cichlids for the past 4 or 5 years and I am a cichlidoholic now....love everything about them. I have a 55 running for awhile but I just upgraded to a Marineland 125g dual corner overflow tank. Ive put a lot of time into this and want to thank all of you who post tutorials, tips, and advice online. I built the sump, stand (still a work in progress), and did the pvc plumbing. It is cycling right now.

I do have one problem that I cant seem to resolve. When I turn my return phmp on full blast (pump rated at over 1500gph) one corner durso gurgles through the side holes. Why isnt the water level the same in both overflows? The tank is lever per putting a level on top...but if it was slightly off, would that cause the issue? I dont think anyone can get a tabk 100 percent perfectly level...haha.

Thanks I cant wait to read all over this forumn to learn and thank god there is this nice app.

Here is a few pics of my new tank.

You can see how the water level on the one durso is right at those side holes in the pipe...so it gurgles too much air or something. Cone on durso experts...help me haha. Thanks!

I figured this out...tank was level but just not 100 percent perfect. Used wood shims between carpet and stand. Also, moved stock snorkle on standup pipe and drilled the hole just slightly bigger in diameter. Water level in both overflows is equal. However, the overflow with the drilled hole needs to be supressed somehow...its making a little noise.
