Ahoy there!

Hi everyone,

My name is Kyle and I live in Melbourne Australia.

I used to keep fish about 6-8 years ago in my early teens and had about 6 tanks, before everything went pear shaped and the money became too much and well, I lost confidence in my abilities to keep fish.

I live in a unit where my partner and I can't have a dog or cat, so fish it was, and in a 3 month period I went from no tanks to 3 tanks, a 5g, 32g and 67g.

I will be loitering around and posting a tank diary for my newest tank.

I am dreading my next power bill :\

Hi! Power bills are one of the disadvantages of fish keeping, but it's worth it!

I wouldn't worry abut the power bill, the power the tanks use are just drops in the bucket unless you have 6+ tanks. Welcome to AA

Another Australian

Tanks are like a heat sink (thingy) so I've actually been arguing they save money! This argument works better in winter.

In summer here in Perth, I kick the fish out and sleep in the darn thing myself....
