You can really cut that time down if you seed the tank. Do you have any friends with fish tanks if not you could ask a lfs for a used filter pad to help your cycle

Nope no friends with tanks that I know of, but I could probably ask the petsmart around the corner for a used filter

Thank you for your help this far, I'm going to call petsmart tomorrow and see if they'll accept my fish till I get the cycle worked out... I'll have to see what I can get information wise tomorrow while I'm bored at work lol.
