Presumably as long as I kept them fed with some wafers or zucchini they would be ok. I'm getting a decent biofilm building up as my lights are pretty powerful, and I'm light on plants until they arrive next week.

Setting up my first tank. Its been a while in the making. Aquariums ltd aquarium, custom steel stand made at a local fabricators. Fluval FX5, 2x150w TMC growbeams, 3x Fluval e 300w.

Currently fishless cycling at 24.5'c.

Will be stocking with South Americans. Not quite a biotope due to the planting.

Also picked up a bargain 10gal nano I'm setting up for a betta. That's almost cycled after only 3 days.

I'll try get a photo up but got a lot of bloom on the big tank.

For suck a big tank with lots of fish why dont you use that 10 gallon as a quarenteen tank?

I don't see much point in a quarantine tank. If you have a decent LFS you can trust they hold your fish a while before you buy them, after all its in their interest to supply you good service if your a valued customer. I intend to get all my shrimp and snails from one LFS, plecs from a specialist and everything else from a local store I'm building a relationship with. Plus the 10gal is stocked, 1 betta, 3 neon goby, 2 onion snails, 1 Cameroon shrimp and 5 sunshines.

Ok, heres a couple of pics of the 10gal up and running.

I have also doen a better description of the stand and some pics in the DIY projects section for Mogurako.

Cheers.
