Hello all. My name is Cheffy. Just started a tank this Christmas past, heavily planted, with many invertebrates and a few various community fish. Things are going well for the most part. Started it in a fishless cycle with pure ammonia. Substrate is all rocks meant for plants. I figuredbout too late that some gravel over top would have been better. Failure in adding Amano Shrimp probably due to the tank being so young. 1 small case of dropsy. Ich twice and treated with heat and salt. Just heat the second time. I think from pulling plants out of the substrate to trim and replant them which exposed alot of debris into the water. All in all, happy fish, enjoyable hobby with little fuss. I do read alot, so this hobby feeds my head very well.
