Greetings from Nova Scotia!

Hi all! After a 15 year hiatus, I've decided to get an another aquarium. Well, I'm not sure if my first tank really counts...I was 10, and I had two goldfish...Blackie and Goldie.

I've been browsing this site for a few hours now, and I'm a little overwhelmed...what a wealth of information! So many options, and all this on the budget of an Oceanography grad student. :? I'm sure I will have lots of questions, but I think I've found the right place to ask them.

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome!

From the advice I've received here, I've already got my 15 gal tank set up and cycling. I just added my first addition of ammonia, and tomorrow I'm off to the store for some shrimp. Mmmm, rotting shrimp :? My friends thought I was nuts!

Looking forward to my first fish!
