I joined to hopefully get some help regarding my hardware issues (check out leaking Magnum 350 thread).
I have kept fish since I was a child, which was a couple decades ago...*sigh* With the 29 gallon (over 10 years old) I am successful although very neglectful by most fish-keeping standards. I credit this to overfiltration and what most would call "underfeeding."
I have a 29 gallon tank housing two African cichlids in my office and a recently acquired a 75 gallon South American tank that is giving me fits. It was in bad shape (2 months of serious overfeeding and no cleaning). I bought it from a co-worker who is selling her x-husbands tanks. So far the only thing leaking is the quick connnect coupler on the Magnum (thank goodness).
