Smile Hello!

My name is Dave, and I am glad to be a new member here.

Here is my current setup:

10g fw
Black sand
2 dwarf gourami 2"
2 Opaline gourami 2"
8 platy fry in breeder net box

29g fw (temporary housing)
Senegal bichir 3"
Bala shark 3"
2 Firemouth cichlids 2"
Bumble bee catfish 6"
Clown Loach 3"

29g fw planted
Black sand/gravel
3 longfin zebra danios 1"
3 24kt gold white clouds 1.5"
4 ghost catfish 2"
leopard catfish 1"
Albino cory 1"
2 african dwarf frogs
angel fish 1"
Bamboo shrimp 2"
(yes, close to overcapacity, but testing 0ppm nitrite and ammonia)

29g fw
3 black skirt tetra 1"
2 chinese algae eater 2"
1 pleco 2"

55g fw
jack dempsey 6"
Red ear slider 6"
2 Pleco 14"
Goldfish 4"
(the jd keeps the turtle in line, the gf is a feeder that lives on and wont get himself eaten)

55g sw
Crushed coral/livesand
2 hermit crabs 1 big 1 tiny
Catfish shark
2 snails 1 1/2 ", 1 1"
Chocolate chip starfish
(new tank for me, previous owner set up and acclimated the cs to salt, 1.022)

65g fw planted
Bushy nose pleco 3"
Bamboo shrimp
10 Feeder minnows/platys
Moray eel 18"
(this will be the final home of the bala, bichir, and firemouths.)

I have been an enthusiastic aquariast for the longest time. I have only had tanks for around 6 years, at one point I took all of them down and waited a year to start over. The only fish that stayed with me were the JD, and the plecos.

I just got the salt tank yesterday. Need more equipment ! Didn't come with protein skimmer or powerheads, and i would really like to set up a sump. The moving of the tank shook things up alot and the ammonia level is really high right now. I think I can fix this with water changes for now, and will keep testing.

Btw, my wife thinks I'm insane...

Well that's all there is. I will be posting my questions as I come upon them. Have a great day, and may your testing be perfect!

Great looking tanks, props for being able to get all those gouramis to
co-exist together.
