Hello!

Hi! I'm a freshwater newbie. So far I have only had an interest in keeping freshwater (although saltwaters sure are gorgeous!)
I recently did every stupid newbie mistake and lost my entire tank. I found this site too late, and despite my best efforts to keep them alive....... ;-; anyway......I'm starting over PROPERLY, doing my research, and preparing to start my tanks cycle. Thanks to this wonderful forum I think I can get it going - and keep it that way! I know it will be hard work, but I've wanted to do this for a long time now.
I'm planning on having a 10 gal planted tank with a school of danios, one or two dwarf gouramis, and a couple of shrimp/ nerite snails/ possibly both.
I'm in the sponge stage: willing to listen and learn from experienced aquarists!
Thank you in advance for any help

Welcome! We are glad you found us.

Pretty much everyone starts out the same way you did so don't feel too bad about it.
