Hi Everyone,

Let's see...I've been wanting a tank for awhile now and finally decided to get one. Being a bit intimated with the care and upkeep, I decided to start out with a 10 gallon. After about 6 months, now I want a bigger tank. Lol. Currently in the process of removing artificial "stuff" and putting in natural plants and "thingys". Posting a pic of current tank then will post after change. Also will post a pic of my little fry. My Platy had close to 40 babies!!!. Oh my. And also, sending a pic of my mystery snail who also just had 3 little snails. You might be able to see them in with the fry, if you look hard enough. He he.
Thanks for taking the time and reading my little blurb.
Don't worry fry are currently separated from main tank and soon will be acclimated in a baby tank.

Hi Toolman,

Thank you, Toolman.

Lils.

Welcome to the community. Congratulations and the new fry hand baby snails

Mystery snails lay eggs. They are not live bearers. Are you sure they are baby mystery snails.

I am pretty sure they are baby snails. That said, I dont remember seeing a cluster of eggs, I dont think I would miss that. But, I did buy a live plant and I've had it for about 4 months. I just think the baby snails would be bigger by now if snail eggs hitchhiked on the live plant. But will post a pic of the babies when i get home.

Thanks toolman for the pic. I would have definitely remembered seeing something like that. Heres a pic of my mystery snails. They must have been on the plant I bought.

Those are not mystery snail babies. Perhaps a ramshorn.

Here is a pic of baby mystery snails next to 1/4 of an algae pellet.

Thank you TMaier,
Mystery solved. I.was thinking Ramshorn but wasn't sure. They are pretty, your mystery snails.

I'm not sure what kind of ramshorn you have though. All of mine have a shell that isn't as flat as the ones in your pic? IMG_8523.jpg

I've read about a micro ram but never seen one. I wonder if that is what they are.

You are a genius! Thank you. They look exactly like a mini ramshorn.
