Hello fish people

Hi there, although I have been registered for quite a while I was inactive for most of that...had a bit of a semi-heated discussion with someone and went off to see who was right...they were...RO Water and changes do help keep crabs alive

Anywho, do not admitting when I am wrong so had to find my way back here to let everyone know the results of my trials with doing things "My way" vs the "Right way" which my mind is now completely changed after months of trying different things and now have happy little crabs and shrimps living quite well.

So, I am almost 40 been keeping a reef for about 7 years now with great success in everything except the crabs/shrimp which seems to be fixed now.

I own a small photography business and run a photo forum, which is where this site came up as a place to discuss fish keeping.

My older two kids have a Cichlid tank, which is new to him and I end up doing most of the maintenance on, its a 40 Gallon (My old reef tank) with lots of plants and seems to be doing well. I almost wish I had them go with a Fish Only reef, would be easier for me with less learning about Cichlids.

Glad you stuck with us, we only have your best interests in mind with decades of experience to help. Welcome back

I'm sure some of the advice might have seemed "preachy" but imagine someone new on your photo forum doing it "their way" which was drastically different from the norm and refused to listen to the "masses" who were only trying to help.

LOL! Welcome!
Most of the acronyms you can mouse over and a pop-up box will tell you what it is (they are underlined)
