Hello from southwestern Pennsylvania!
I'm new to freshwater tanks, but worked with winter flounder embryos and fry (yolk-sac larvae) as a grad student in molecular biology and got hooked on fish in the process! A recent encounter with dojo loaches in a LPS was enough to push me over the edge and finally get a tank started. The loaches have been fantastic so far, and a friend tells me that, as the owner of two fish that fart (yes, dojo loaches actually do this), I am now the envy of every 5th grade boy in the neighborhood.
I'll probably be asking questions about my newbie mistakes in the near future, so thanks in advance for your help!
