Hello from Wisconsin

Hey guys, i've been following the forums (mostly the planted and aquascapeing ones) for a couple of weeks now and finally got it worked out so i can post on here.

I've been a long time fish and pet owner, but never really had the resources or space to do the things i wanted to with aquariums. I did alot of research about 2 years ago when i was living by myself in college and wanted to spend a good chunk of money on a pet. In the end a few complications (lack of space and support for more then a 20g tank, no pet stores with crickets for frogs and the like, not sure how temporary my status would be) ended up in me just getting a couple of Rats and no new fish .

I did however, already have a couple of gold fish, and an african clawed frog. When i moved down here to Fond Du lac, i put them both together in a 15g tank and they have been mostly happy. (one of the gold fish died...he had horrible cancer i'm pretty sure. But almost 5 years is not a bad life span for store goldfish that a dorm mate was gonna throw out in College!)

So i have an extra 10g that the frog was in thats been sitting around for about a year now. I'm still in college, and until recently i didn't have the funds to start a new tank, but i got a work study job and have a bit of money now, so that tank plus a piece of nice driftwood from my grandmothers that i'm currently soaking, made me decide to start a new tank. So here i am!

Just wanted to say hi, cause i'm gonna be lurking around for a few weeks here!
