I've been breeding fancy guppies for two years. It started out as a Xmas gift of 8 fry. Which happened to be 4 males & 4 females, in a gallon tank. Then I got a 10G. bought a couple of pairs. Now I have two 10 gallon tanks,setup for breeding. 5 one gallon tanks for the fry. A 30G. w/where I put in the fry,after they reach a month old (or big enough) into. Then trade them in @ the age of 3-4 months old to area pet stores. Also breed red cherry shrimp (RCS). They also get traded in. Plus,plants like water sprites,amazon swords,narrow leaf chain swords,& dwarf sagittaria. Recently got two male & two female longfin albino plecos. Had 3 females & one male albino cories,that were breeding. Couldn't get fry to live past 24hrs,so I sold `em earlier today.
