Aquarium Advice FINatic
Hello! I'm a new member who's only about 3-4 weeks into fishkeeping and so far, it's been harder than I thought. I did some things wrong, lost two guppies, thought I was doing better, but now have two more sick guppies.
*sigh*
Anywho, I'm here to learn and hopefully meet some other fish people!
I have a 6 gallon Petco bookshelf aquarium with a filter. Heater not in yet, but I have it purchased. I have a planted tank with anubias, anachris, java fern, hornwort, amazon sword, water wisteria and one other I can't remember.
Substrate is Eco-Complete. Tank is cycled, but nitrates are a little high right now (20ppm). Water changes each week or more.
I have four male fancy guppies from PetSmart and two are sick (have white fuzz). I have one apple snail who I like a lot more than I thought I would!
My goal is/was low-tech, planted and low maintenance, but so far, it's not been low maintenance!
This feels like a weird intro, but I know people are into specs.
