Aquarium Advice Apprentice

Here's my aquarium experience background:
I've grown up with fish tanks, but it was always my parents that took care of them. Our oldest fish is a catfish that I've appropriately named Kittyfish, and he's been kicking for at least 6-7 years now!
I recently just set up my first tank of my own (10 gallon community tank) and it's doing alright so far, although I'm having a few issues that I'll probably be posting about somewhere else on this site.
So I'm hoping to learn more about aquarium care and I look forward to spending time learning from everyone else's experiences! :]
