Need bit of help or if my tank is ok

Its 40L,two bit weeks old I've got three zebra damino and two platys they look happy swimming around eating etc

Nitrate is 20
Nitrite is 0.5
Ph 8
Hardness is well hard

Any hints to improve these or they ok for the fish?

Do a 50% water change every three days over two weeks. Then add a carbon filter in addition to what you're using. I'd use a sponge filter if I was you. I use sponges rate for 120 gal in all my tanks 20gal and up.
