hey all - Aquarium Advice

I'm new to the forum and thought I would introduce my self. My name is Scott and I'm currently a student at the University of Idaho. i have 2 55 [acronym:5bd4e25f12="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:5bd4e25f12] fresh water tanks. one that i keep my 2 hatchling red eared slider turtles and some small convict cichlids. My other 55 is for my african cichlids. right now i have a pair of kribs and 5 yellow labs. i also have a 20 [acronym:5bd4e25f12="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:5bd4e25f12] tank that i am in the prosses of setting up for saltwater. i'm using an aquaclear 150 for filtration, with crushed coral substrata and about 5 pounds of live rock. i know the filtration is probably not optimal, but i am a poor college student and figure it will do until money is a little more readily available
