hi

hello all i have been keeping freshwater tropicals for more years than i care to remember,and still learning and hope to learn more from you guys on the forum, as i have recently retired due ill health i have more time to look after my tanks and too annoy all of you on the forum

Well, it's Gaelic and it doesn't have anything to do with fresh or salt. It just means "the fish".
An - the
iasg - fish, with the t- construction used before a masculine noun beginning with a vowel.
