Hi all,

I am new to this fish hobby and have had aFluval Edge 23ltr for almost a month and did a fishless cycle for 3 weeks and added 5 neon Tetras at the weekend.
Just wanted to say hi and look forward to reading all the great info on this forum.

A tank usually takes 4-6 weeks to cycle. How did you get yours to cycle in such a short time?

Hi LyndaB,

I set the tank up ready to go but with no fish, I also fed the tank 2 fish flakes 2 times a day and added plants straight away, I also did regular 25% water changes.
I have the Fluval Edge 23ltr tank so I guess 3 weeks cycling was enough.
Test ing the water from week 2 was my way.
My plan is to add 2 cherry shrimp and 1 or 2 more fish.
Thanks for the walm welcome and questions, this is one big learning curve.
