Hello all! New to the site but have had fish for about 10 years now. Currently have a 46 gal bow front tank that we are starting over and an empty 40 gal rectangle tank that is empty. It used to house turtles, but they moved to other homes when my boys outgrew them. Hoping to start something in there once I get the bow front finished.
Hoping to learn more about how make our tank more interesting this time. Currently we just have starter fish and an algae eater. (Starter fish are the cheap goldfish variety to watch the water status as per my son's aquatic science teacher. My son has told him of my aquarium problems.) I love just watching them, but am fish challenged. If they thrive it never fails one group grows larger than the rest and next thing I know I have one type of dominating "friendly community fish" in the tank. I would like to see a variety in there swimming together happily.
