It has been 50 years since I had an aquarium. Many things have changed. I am currently setting up a 300 Gallon freshwater tank. I intend to have discus, gold severum, red hooks, kissers etc. I actually have about 100 lbs of dark blue glass gravel from 50 years ago. I was trying to locate a source for more when I found aquarium advice. I saw a post by Greg w of Seattle referring to a good source. I hope he can contact me with that info. I look forward to participating in this forum.

Welcome to AA! That will be an awesome tank! The discus would probably be beaten up by the severum. I dont really no much about the others mentioned though...

How about a school of 70 rummy nose tetras, 20 cory cats, a bunch of discus, and some angels?
