I am new here. I am a retired zoologist, currently live in Virginia. My favorite fish is tiger barb; I also keep platies, glowlight tetras and kribensis. My tanks inlude one 29 gallons, one 40 gallons and three tanks 10 gallons each. A small pond has teaming goldfish, channel catfish and brim. I also keep hunting dogs, goats and chickens.

I thank everyone for welcoming me here. Our chickens are walking free, no cages, no fences, like wild birds. However, there are some dangers, we have foxes, raccoons, oposums and hawks who find chickens tasty. I do not shoot them. Instead, I have good dogs, which keep predators at bay. Hawks attack chickens rarely, but foxes and coyotes are most important threat.
