I have had several aquariums over the years and just started again with various livebearers, but no longer a challenge and decided to go the whole hog and purchased a 5'x2'x2', to set up a discus tank. This is where things get confusing,a sump came with set up from marine use, should I use this, also should I use a uv or not i've had it said to me that if I did my fish would be living in a sterile bubble and if I were to sell at sometime in the future to someone without one they would suddenly be bombarded with all sorts of disease.
