Hi I'm New to the site,

I have a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft tank that I have just re-sealed as the previous **** sorry owner must have been a child with the amount of silicon used. It was all up the back and sides and even in the middle of the glass. Lol. I've had the tank for around 8 months but didn't have time to re-seal as I needed to get my fish in.

I have 5 Angels, 3 Torpedoes, 1 Silver Shark, 1 Ghost Knife and 2 Plecostomus. They all get on well.

I have 2 x Fluval 4 plus internal filters and 2 x 250w heaters. The tank is always crystal clear.

The only issue I have is a couple of fine scratches on the front glass which I'd love to get rid of. Any advice is greatfully welcomed.

Cheers

Danny

Very nice looking tank! I love the white stand.
Depending on how deep the scratch is sometimes using a fine grit sandpaper will work such as 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper with water then follow up with a 2000 grit.
Polish with Cerium Oxide if it is a glass tank.
Oh and.....

The scratches are really fine. A lot of people can't see them but I can. Lol. I may have to try the sandpaper was just worried about scratching it even more. Cheers.

I have never done this myself lol was always worried about the same thing. If its not as noticeable then it shouldn't be a huge problem but I know how you feel about little things like that. Even if it isn't noticeable to others it would still bug the heck out of me until I fixed it.
