Smile Hi from UK !

I got into tropical fish about 2 months ago . I have a 24 litre tank with 2 mollies ,6 neon & 6 black phantom tetras . Also got a cocker x springer dog called Hollie . Ammonia seems to be a problem at moment but gradualy getting better. Hoping to get a bigger tank soon so that might help.Hope that this site will give me some helpful tips on any problems i may have.

Welcome to AA!
The sooner you can upgrade the better. Your tank is quite over stocked. This could be the cause of the ammonia problem or your tank is still cycling.

You can't beat the price of a secondhand tank. Some things to be aware of when buying a use tank are weak silicone seals, scratches, cracks, chips and what's been kept in the tank (reptiles or fish).

Hi, the best place to get tank advice in the uk other than here is at a specialist aquarium shop. Maidenhead aquatics have staff that will talk you through all the different tanks.

Personally I have a River reef 100L which is great. It's made by Aqua1.

Pets at home will just get you really confused.

Hope this helps.

Pets at home is a great store IME.

Gumtree will give you a nice selection of nearly new tanks for cheap
