Hi i am new have i have just geting to guppies and i am having problems

My male guppie is at the side of my tank facing up and my female keeps swimming upside down are they okay ????

No, they should be swimming around checking things out. Usually the male will be chasing the female around. How new is your tank? Is it cycled? What are your test values for pH, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? Something's wrong if they aren't swimming upright. OS.
