Looks like this just wasn't displaying properly on my Mac last night for some reason. Editing with details and pictures. 
My wife and I are new aquarists. She's never kept fish before, I had some as a kid, but didn't take it seriously. We've talked about getting a tank for a while, and finally did it several weeks ago. It's fully cycled, and we're now working on stocking it a little more thoroughly. She enjoys looking at the pretty fish, I enjoy being obsessive compulsive with cleaning it, rearranging plants, testing the water, and generally faffing about. It's a win-win!
Currently, we have a 35g hex with matching stand. Present in it now are 6 zebra danios, 3 mollies (one black, two dalmation sailfin), and 2 clown loaches (which I know will get too big for this tank eventually, but atm they're not much more than an inch long, and will hopefully grow into it a bit, then we can find a new place for them). I'm thinking we'll add a couple cats and a few tetras or barbs, and call this one done-for-now.
I've fallen in love with rainbow sharks, but I know they don't belong in the community tank we're working on. Maybe the next one!
