im new and i have a rope fish

i need to know what to feed him because the guy at the store said chichlid pellets and it wont eat them. thanks for the help

Welcome!!! Rope fish like live food, especially worms.

Worms it is. Toprfish are a Polypterid, and loke all their cousins relish frozen bloodworms, live blackworms, live earthworms, bits of shrimp (frozen/fresh, preferably raw), and small fishes....my tank of 6 ropes go nuts for live worms.
