I'm taking the plunge!!!

Hey everybody! I'm new to the hobby and need some tips. Ive got it set up, with everything that was recommended. The only thing I haven`t got yet was the lighting system. I was thinkin something along these lines.

24" Metal Halide Lighting MH Aquarium Marine Reef 380W on eBay.ca (item 300473382282 end time 26-Oct-10 21:03:51 EDT)

My Levels are looking like this.
Ammonia - 0.25ppm
Nitrate - 20ppm
Nitrite - 1ppm
pH - 7.9

Yes, I'm going to try to build a reef tank. Would that light be suitable? and are my water parameters on par with what it should be??

i've purchased one of those no-name fixtures before and the electronic ballast that was supplied did not push the bulb enough. i had the same wattage fixture you have there over a 30 cube and tried various bulbs. if you plan on purchasing that, i would suggest purchasing a good quality ballast to replace the one they send with it.
