Introduction
Looks like alot of good info on this site!
I am really getting into fish, and I think its going to be a lasting hobby  My names Chris and im from Victoria BC, Canada, I have a 5 gallon, planted, with an awesome blue VT male betta! (Named Blue) And he's the only resident in the tank, big deal heh! Its my own, but I have previous experience with fish, my family owned a 10 gallon we went through guppies and breeding them, tetras, neons, snails and associated problems, ghost shrimps and a bunch of other small fish. It became an unplanted tank very quickly (snails ate them) so this is my first time with plants. I think i'll ask for some tips on my current tank, and also i'd like to start a larger tank soon (im looking at anywhere from a 30-50 gallon).
