Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but not to keeping fishes. My tank is a planted tank. I have just arranged the existing set-up. Happy Easter everyone.

Thanks fresh2o here is my tank photographed yesterday. Looking good however as I had neglected to clean it properly. There is still some alge left on the pump. Hopefully my new Pleco is hungry enough to eat it!!! Lol ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1428314592.658871.jpg

Looks good! I wouldn't have complete faith in the pleco though. They make more of a mess than they clean up. It's you are having algae problems it is likely a different underlying problem such as:
1. Over feeding
2. Lights on too long
3. Imbalance in fertilizers(if you use them)
4. Lack of frequent water changes.

Just some ideas :)

Thanks Caleb, I think it was me not cleaning it often enough?. I'm reformed now and I will start. I used to clean it once a week and do a 1/4 water change but as my life got busier I changed to 1/2 once every 3 weeks and so it didn't help the tank I guess!!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, and I own two bettas at the moment. I love bettas and I know a lot about them and am still learning more. When I got my first betta (Joey) I didn't know that the recommended tank size was 2.5 or 5 gallons, so I put him in a small 0.7 gallon and he still thrives today. I tried to buy a bigger one but my mom won't let me. I soon got a another betta after that (of course after convincing my strict mother) and he lives in a 3 gallon. I have owned guppies, goldfish, mollies, snails and tetras in the past, but I found I love bettas the best. If you have any questions or concerns just send me a PM! Thanks
Ashley

I'm well jel, I would love angle fish and to know you are lucky enuf to have fry too!!! My tank is too small the store tells me so its a community tank. I would love to upgrade to a bigger tank but I don't have the money to buy a posh new big one.

Meh.... you dont need alot of money. Im certainly not rich, lol. But you can find lots of deals if you look hard enough. Give me a few mins and ill post some pics of tanks and list how i acquired them. Ive never bought a new tank over 40 gals and i have a dozen bigger than that. Mostly paid 1-2$ per gallon.
