At present, I have a 10 gallon tank. (I have had up to 55) The tank is beautiful, full of colorful plants and Bettas. I had the tank divided in order to have 2 male Bettas, but after they died, I opened up the tank and the 2 Betta females seem very happy. The tank also houses a cory cat, golden algae eater, chinese algae eater and snail. I am cosidering adding some compatible fish with the Bettas.

It's fishy in Illinois!
Hi, everyone. I just joined after coming across your link in a search for "aquarium swordfish." I was wondering if the swordfish and swordtails are one and the same. I have female Bettas in my tank and swordtails were an option to add.
This is a great site! I'm glad to get involved. Having a fish tank can be a work of art and so peaceful for us to enjoy. See ya later! I'm going fishing.
When I hear swordfish I think saltwater, pointy nose, perfect storm.. Swordtails are a livebearer with a pointy tail, so.. They probably are different.

Pointy nose or pointy tail?
Thanks for the reply. I think of the Marlin when I think of "swordfish," but in a book I read about Bettas (Siamese Fighting Fish), it suggested to put swordfish in the tank. I don't have a big enough tank for the swordfish we're thinking of! Best wishes.
