the water parameters in my 10g tank is not looking good, and I just did about a %75 water change

these results are AFTER the water change:


Am.25
No2 .5
No3 30

Did you cycle this tank before adding fish? It looks as though you are going through it right now, and I wouldn't do more than 50% pwc's at a time, if anything 2-50% pwcs back to back are better than a single 75%. I'd give it a few hours then re test. Let me know what your numbers look like and we can go from there

ok. that test was about 4 hours after the water change. I won't be able to do another one until this evening, anyhow.

my fishless cycling tank now has good readings, I think it is cycling...now what?

last night ammonia was 4ppm

this morning in was:
am - 1ppm
no3 - 80
no2 - 5ppm

Now what?

You're def on your way....dose back up to 4 ppm and keep testing you've got trates showing up already so not too much longer

Two ways. One, you'll see 0 ammo, 0 trites, and some sort of reading for trates. For example.
Ammo-0
Trites-0
Trates- 20
And also second,
Once fully cycled, you'll be able to dose the tank up to 4ppm and within 24hrs, it'll be completely gone.I know its super hard to be patient but you're building a very solid foundation to keep an amazing tank for a long time

and so, when I get those readings...amm 0, no2 0 and no3 something other than 0....what do i do?
